Imagine walking into an enchanted forest full of twinkling lights, castles, and drawbridges. Each morning you are greeted with a light layer of mist that climbs and falls down the mountainside, which later burns off and leads way to a magnificent sunrise. Northern Nights comes complete with a spectacular backdrop of trees, mountains, and rivers. This camping festival is set in Mendocino County in the Emerald Triangle which is second to none. No matter where you plan to camp, you are surrounded by nature.

Northern Nights Music Festival is an immersive experience filled with art, music, and cannabis. This is its eighth year in existence and second year to openly allow cannabis. NNFM made history being the first festival to do this! Last year, Northern Nights promoted local growers by hosting talks, workshops, and ganja yoga. They even hosted a Tree Lounge to allow the recreational use and sale of cannabis on-site.

Aside from being a leader in creating a safe place to explore and learn about wellness and cannabis, they have created a wonderland of stages in the middle of a forest. Phase 1 has dropped, and we’re already losing our minds since we can’t wait to see the likes of Claude VonStroke, TroyBoi, and CloZee. As you can tell from Phase 1 line, there is music diversity.

Poppa Claude is celebrating 15 years of his San Francisco based label Dirtybird Records which means we are guaranteed to him throwing down. TroyBoi is coming across the pond from London Town to deliver magnetic, gritty, and world-influenced trap music. This will be one of four US shows he will play and the only West Coast fest. Finally, you have CloZee who creates electro tones filled with ambient melodies. She is one of the top female DJs, has played five sets at Burning Man in 2019, and just wrapped up a show at Costa Rica’s Envision. So, no matter your taste in music, you will have a diverse soundscape to explore and dance to.

NNMF curates a space where you can truly enjoy an innovative outdoor experience of diverse music genres and emerging artists which creates a diversity of festival-goers. Not to mention the promotion of small business and the cannabis lifestyle across festival grounds.

Did we mention NNMF has 5+ epic stages? The River Stage has to be the coolest stage we have ever encountered. The river literally runs through it, so be sure to bring your bathing suit and your favorite pool floatie because we are leveling up. Let’s not stop there, have you ever wanted to know what it feels like to be in a castle while dancing on a pirate ship? Look no further than the Grove Stage, where you can climb up a ladder to gain access to an illuminated pirate ship. Of course, all the stages have unique and interesting features, but you’re going to need to attend to get the full effect!

If you are still not convinced, be sure to check out their Instagram & Facebook and learn about who they are and what to expect! We hope to see you there because we know you will be hooked after you attend. Also be sure to check last year’s album we captured while covering NNFM! Lastly, be sure to grab tickets because last year, they sold out!
